Hepatic Artery Anatomy
Introduction
Typically the arterial blood supply to the liver originates from the proper hepatic artery which branches to form the right, middle and left hepatic arteries. However, in 1955 Dr. Nicholas A. Michels* described ten basic variations to this anatomy. This presentation presents each of these ten basic types with the use of angiographic material.* Michels, N.A.
