Pet Valu International Inc., a specialty retailer of pet products with over 360 stores in the U.S. and Canada, has an immediate opening for a Part Time Human Resource Administrator at our head office in the King of Prussia area. This position will provide HR administrative services to our employees with an emphasis on benefit and wage administration, maintaining our HR database and employee files, updating personnel records and processing new hires, terminations, wage increases, transfers, promotions, etc.
Qualified candidates will have strong verbal communication skills, exhibit strong attention to detail, be able to prioritize tasks effectively. A strong proficiency in Excel is also required.
We are looking for someone who has a strong capacity to learn and begin a career in Human Resources. We offer a competitive hourly rate, paid holidays, potential for a yearly performance bonus and a 401(k) Plan. Flexible hours, approximately 20-25 hours/week. Job Description REQUIREMENTS: Five or more years business experience, prior Human Resources experience preferred, some college preferred. Experience supporting an external (field-based) sales organization. Demonstrated customer service skills. Technical aptitude a must. Skills and knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, SAP, Ariba and internet preferred. Effective interpersonal communication skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Organizational, planning, scheduling and time management skills. High degree of initiative, accountability, accuracy, problem solving ability, logic aptitude, follow-up skills and attention to detail. Ability to manage projects and meet tight deadlines. Coordinate activities with outside firms (e.g. advertising agencies, search firms, consultants, etc) and candidates for employment. Our corporate headquarters in Lawrenceville has an immediate opening for a Human Resources Representative. This position is fast-paced and will involve data entry, problem solving, handling multiple phone calls, file maintenance, assisting with mailing and filing projects and other related clerical tasks. Candidates must be computer literate in Microsoft Office, organized, detail oriented, and have excellent phone skills. Strong customer service skills as well as the ability to manage multiple tasks/projects required. Ability to prioritize a must. This position will pay $12.00 per hour.
