4——Cocktail
因為過敏,我每次只能對調酒師說:can you give me a cocktail without alcohol?
怎麽說這也不是a smart thing to do。
Dessert - Finale
She picked up the phone - it was him.
She was surprised. Her voice was so calm that he could feel she wasn't expecting him to call, because she usually sounded very happy on the phone.
"What are you doing?"
"Cooking."
"What are you cooking?"
"Carrots, onions, eggs, and rice." What if I am cooking pasta? She asked herself.
"Nice!"
"It's just okay."
"How's everything?"
"Um, nothing special."
Then he started to ask about everything except weather one could think of to talk about when they don't really have anything to say.
Then he asked about the weather.
Then he said: "Well, what else?"
She laughed at him.
He also laugthed, in an embarrassed way. Suddenly she saw his smile again. The shy and sincere smile which is not supposed to be seen on a man like him's face. The smile that she felt in love with.
Finally he thought of something to say.
"For the rest of this month I'll be in Maine, next month I'll go to Florida, and then I'll go to New York."
She suddenly saw the picture behind the warm and sweet smile. The picture she saw so many times but forgot so many times.
Then his voice became unclear...
"Hello? Hello!?"
She couldn't hear anything. She looked at the cell phone - it was power off.
The battery died. Again.
Unlike every time before, she didn't recharge the phone. She went back to prepare her dinner - for two. She knew the battery was not the only thing that died this time.
